V12 Caprice

It is an old news for some people i think but its a very rare thing to find a V12 on a Caprice so I thought i post this for people who missed it.

Here is the original page that wrote about this v12 Caprice , but its no longer availble:
http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicl...op/index6.html

So i digged it out from archive.org and here it is:
http://web.archive.org/web/200304272...op/index6.html

I uploaded the pictures for my pc:

Really nice car .

Re: V12 Caprice

Note the 91+ wheels, would seem to indicate the car had been equipped with an 8.5" rear and 9c1 brakes since those wheels are 5x5"...

Seen the article before. Awesome looking car. Wonder what happened to it.

Some of the mules were sold off at the Barrett-Jackson auction in the last couple of years.

Re: V12 Caprice

Wow. That must be an old article. it describes the BMW engine as "the big V-12" but later quantifies that as being only 304 CID and making only 300 HP. That's V-6 territory for power, not V-12. In case you're wondering, in that same year (1988), turbo Buicks were making over 300 HP with half as many cylinders and only 231 CID, and most of them are still running. See many '88 BMWs around lately?
