no H in VTEC its not a phone sorry that bother's me.
ok first of what kind of honda are you putting this motor into?
b/c 7gens only fit other 7gen motor's and 1gen RSX motors like the K20A base model and the type-S K20C. Spoon only really deals with selling B series motors and there around 6 g's I'd go with another company that sells motors or look around on the internet or junkyards for motors (its rare to find them in junkyards). Ok now then are you looking for a sigle overhead cam. or a double overhead cam? please note that Vtec is almost worthless without a vtec controller, which does not come with the motor.
ok here's a list of decent motors-
6th gen and below
cvic motors
99-00 Si B16A2 - 160hp @ 7600 rpm
97 + type R B16B - 184hp @ 7800 rpm
92- 95- 96 + Si R 2 & vti B16A - 168hp @ 7800 rpm
90-91 Si R B16A1 - 160hp @ 7600 rpm
89-92 Vti B16A1 - 158hp @ 7600 rpm
89-92 Si R Hatch B16A - 158hp @ 7600 rpm (you can tune early ZC's pretty well also) also the crx si-R and del sol 92 to 96 came with a 168 hp b16a and 94 to 97 the del sol came with an b16a3 with 158 hp.
then there are
the integra motors
97-98 2000 type R B18C5 - 195hp @ 8000 rpm the model of this motor made in japan is 197hp and it goes 95 and up.
97-98 Gsr B18C1 170hp @ 7600 rpm
94-00 Ls / Rs/Gs B18B1 142 @ 6300 rpm
95-97 Si R B18C 178hp @ 7600 rpm
from 92-93 honda made a Gsr B17A1 - with 160hp @ 7600 rpm
then there's the prelude motors
99-01 H22A2 - 200hp @ 7000 rpm
97-98 H22A1 - 195hp @ 7000 rpm
97 + Si R H22A - 200hp @ 6800 rpm
97 + type S H22A - 220hp @ 7200 rpm
92-96 Si / Se H23A1 - 160hp @ 5800 rpm
94-96 Vtec H22A1 - 190hp @ 6800 rpm
92-96 Si F22 - 160hp @ 6000 rpm
92-96 Vtec H22 - 200hp @ 6800 rpm
90-91 Si B21A1 - 140hp @ 5800 rpm
do me a favor and post what kind of car your looking on putting the motor in and some more specifics.

I think I'd try to work with the LS motor the b18b1 isint a bad motor equipped with a turbo and some other modifications. Or I'd look for a b16a or a2 most prefferably a b18c1 or an h22a1 anything else is going to be rather expensive.

dude.....like hybrid said...work with the b18 your ls comes with....too poor for a full ITR engine? why not grab the ITR head(lots cheaper) and slap that bad boy on your existing engine? just a thought....good luck getting an h22 in there though....the intagre chassis is too narrow and it becomes hard to turn...if this is a straight drag car, no problems...but if its a touring car or and everyday driver...Id highly suggest not going the h22 route....

Re: spoon engines

For monsterous speed and under $3000, Try a H22a euro type R Accord motor, 220bhp@7400RPM and 163ft/lb@7200RPM. Spot wielding is required, and new motor mounts. OR>>>>try a B16ZC for under $2500. OR>>> for a real tight budget, find someone with an old honda accord who is willing to sale it for cheap and do an engine swap, 94' accord lx comes with a H22A1 195bhp@7000RPM and Im not quit sure on the torque/ If you really want a fast and unbeatable car go the distance and order a B18C-R longblock, bye the time you have it assembled it will run about $5000. Get back with me, I'll try and help to the best of my knowledge.
