Re: eclipse gt vs celica gt

It really depends on the driver, If the celica is auto you will have no problem, but 5 speed may be a decent race. I would say you should have the upper hand because you are more modded and those cars run pretty close stock.

Only one way to find out though right?

Also, which graddy cat-back do you have? My friend has an 00 GT and wants to get the greddy SP-2.

Allright cool man. I like how the GT's sound. Even stock they sound kinda like indy cars. If you race your friend you should try to record it!

Re: eclipse gt vs celica gt

This thread is full of fail...

How much did all those aftermarket parts cost you? Most of them won't do dick shit. The I/H/E combo would net you the most power, but are you taking advantage of any tuning to actually get the advantage of higher flow? The wires and plugs were probably a waste. Why are you using drilled and slotted rotors? Why drilled at all? Slotted are fine. The best bang for buck with your car is spraying it.

Watch out for the GT-S though, they can be pretty damned quick.

Oh, and no bench racing. Bench racing is for communists and high school cheerleaders.

If you don't act like a ricer, your car will last plenty long on a 75 shot if you do it right.

One of these days I'll find another human being that thinks buying brakes of eBay is no bueno.

If you cant spell your mods, you lose automatically.

Torched, my friend had a Greddy SP2 on his rsx-s, and liked it. It didn't have the annoying ricer sound, and wasn't too loud

honestly, now that i think about it, if you really had this eclipse with all these mods and were going to race your buddy's gt-s, why are you worrying? you have a modded v6, and they have a cat back'd gt-s. you both run the same 1/4 time stock just about, but with all your 'mods' you should have no problem as long as you dont roast the tires in 1st...

go figure.. common sense.

Because the only thing he really has that will net him any go is the Headers. And didn't someone on here with a GT-S with an unbolted exhaust and Super AFC run like, 13s?
