Gas Milages on a h22a?

I currently have a 1994 Honda Accord LX, With an h22a complete swap.

I got a great steal on the car, recently bought. I got a accord with the complete swap, great exterior, and interior needs a little TLC, and a full new front suspension. But that's not the point.

Yesterday I dropped $20 of gas in the car at around 10 PM. The price of the gas (IN NYC) was $2.69. THE LOWEST I SEEN EVER SINCE 9/11/01. and 2day I checked out the fuel tank and it dropped to the Empty. I havent rev'd the engine enough for the vtec to kick in, that would be around 5 1/2 to 6.
I havent driven the car like crazy or for a long period of time. the $20 gave me ALMOST half a tank. and I havent been driving around all that much to have it dropp to nothing.

I dont know if the engine is giving me terrible gas because the h22a is like that. OR if its giving me gas milages lke that cuz of the lack of a tune up on the car. I havent tuned it up seeing that it's only been my second day with the car, and the lack of $$$.

Could any1 let me know what is to be the EPA estimated gas milages on a h22a?

Exactly how many miles did you go on that half tank? Either way, that does sound too low. Check for a dirty/clogged air filter. It could also be a dirty fuel filter. You could also try running some fuel system cleaner.
