transmission

I have an 84 k10 with a 700r4 i stopped at a light and my transmission kicked out of gear it didnt make an unusual noise but i didnt have anything we towed it and when we unhooked i put it in gear and they all worked. Any thoughts?

the pressure testing need be done. you most likely lost pressure due to the plastic pump . 84 is not a good year with these trannys.

Perhaps he's thinking of the plastic spacer/bearing washer behind the pump / in front of the input shell. The rotor, vanes, slider, and even the bearings are all metal in all of them I've been in.
