General Tranny Question Please Help
Can you spice wires together in the tranny with regular crimp connectors (But Connectors).
I just installed a new TCC and I am not confident in the screw type connectors they supplied. on a General note. Do the connections in the tranny need to be sealed? In other words will the tranny fluid conduct current? and short out my Transmission control solenoid if the connections are not sealed? Thanks for any help. |

Re: General Tranny Question Please Help
Transmission oil is not significantly conductive at under 20V to make any difference whatsoever.
Crimp type connections are seldom reliable, unless they are a multiple crimp type, such as Deutsche of Tyco crimps.

Re: General Tranny Question Please Help
It will be fine. The connections on the solenoid itself are exposed also.
