Re: So, how long before Tamiya makes an HSV-010?

I think I am more interested what this might be. The HSV might just become a one-off car just for NA racing research/development now with this hybrid monster in the works:

I'll gladly take either as a kit though!

I find it a bit funny how there are more and more KERS prototype race cars even despite Formula 1 mutually ditching it this year. Yes, F1 didn't create it, but they sure did generate a good interest in it and help to make it a bit more compact for race duties.

That mule NSX Super GT car definitely has a more prominent front section. I wonder what the rear roof scoop feeds now.

The roof scoop must cool the KERS. Seen how much more cooling the porsche hybrid car needs?
I don't think people want more Ferrari F1 fires because of the KERS system.

Very true. I don't know what's scarier, the Ferrari or the Williams F1 KERS units. Burnt to a crisp or decapitated by a flywheel. The Mclaren unit was more reliable anyway.

2011 should be interesting for KERS technology not only for a possible return to F1, but other race disciplines.

The Tamiya HSV is the purple Raybrig, you can find it on the tamiya blog website.

The white hsv is not the Tamiya, its the 1/24th scale Epson Papercraft car printed at 218% of its original size to fit the 1/10 scale chassis. I made this body using 24"x46" heavy stock paper laser printed and double UV coated for extra gloss.

The RC car is coming out in December, the model might not for a bit.

Since when was there a confirmed kit of the HSV in 1/24?

And because you didn't actually answer the guy's question:
the Raybrig HSV in that photo is of the RC car.

Sportscar series too reliable that they want to introduce kers?

Flying fireballs back at La Sarthe (not that they want to be reminded at Suzuka, 1994 JGTC...)

Then they should just take Formula 1's rumored lead and switch back to turbocharged engines instead! Damn that will be an interesting season.
