Hello again! Just dropping by....

Blast from the past here! My last login shows October 6th 2014. Man time fly’s! Just a quick update, in the past 10 years, I: bought a house, got married to Natalie (nans_grandprix), changed jobs, and started a vending business. Maybe soon children. I haven’t been around much probably mainly because I now work in the automotive field and it has sure ruined the hobby. Though I still hope to own a 67 GTO convertible some day.

Came back online tonight to say hello and hope this post finds you all well! My 2000 GTP I still own!!!! Just rolled over to 300,000 miles. And though it’s rusty and a little rough around the edges, I still love the car and drive it every day! If only it wouldn’t rust, I’d drive it forever! We still have Natalie’s 02 se. rusty also and still a nice car. Though it hasn’t past 200,000 miles yet. We also still own the old k1500 plus we bought a brand new 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife (since I work at a Chrysler dealer)

My new hobbies as a mid 30’s adult.... get this.... besides working around the house, i enjoy restoring “vintage” electronics I grew up with. I’m a huge fan of 80’s computers. My latest project is an apple IIgs I’m restoring. I’m also really into arcade games. Yep! I own 4 and more as soon I can convince Natalie to let me use more space in the house. I’ve got a super Mario Nintendo vs unisystem, asteroids, space invaders, and Nintendo playchoice. Playchoice and space invaders need a little work. Next I’m searching for a Williams high speed II the getaway pinball machine. I also enjoy metal detecting as a quiet escape for myself. Found some nice stuff including silver coins and a ring. But it’s kinda my ‘clear my head’ hobby. Natalie and I also have a border collie, Charlie, who we do agility with. Maybe someday you’ll see Natalie and Charlie on TV. Prob not that good yet but you never know. I’ve also ran 4 half marathons. 13.1 miles. Yep, love makes you do some crazy things. Best time so far as been 1 hour 48 minutes.

Anyways, if anyone needs to get ahold of me. Nowadays You’ll find me mainly on KLOV forum, or Vendiscuss forum. Both as screen name tblake05.

Special shout-out to the old crew: richtazz, bnaylor, GTPdad, Igor, jeffcoslacker(?), and anyone else I may have missed. Hope your all doing fine and this message finds you well!

Best regards!

~Tim

Re: Hello again! Just dropping by....

Tim, good to hear from you. Sounds like you've found your happy place. That's an impressive half-marathon time. Although offspring totaled the 98 GTP sedan I fixed up (was in awesome condition with only 95k), I am still driving my 99 GTP coupe at 240k. Runs great and still love to drive it but the interior is falling apart. Hope to fix it up someday but energy is harder to find and more precious the older I get. Same goes for parts!

This was a helpful and friendly forum. Haven't found others like it for our other vehicles.

Take care.
