Rolls Royce Engines and Transmission
I know that the Silver Series cars from the mid 60's onward had GM transmissions fitted but does anyone what engines were fitted to these models?
What gearbox was fitted to earlier cars like the Silver Cloud? |

Re: Rolls Royce Engines and Transmission
The Cloud cars used a GM tranns, a 4 speed I can not remeber the designation of the trans. Later cars, Silver Shadows, used a GM hydra matic. Then around 1994 they went to the 4L80E, another GM trans. These are suppose to be different internally to handle the awesome torque produced. The new CTG uses a ZF gearbox. The engines in the cars are a Bentley/ Rolls royce motor. The Seraph and Green label Arnage used BMW based motors.
