The Conversion

i am making a replica of the F&F RX-7 it is nearing the final stages other than wheels and decals, i already posted about decals, and thnx a lot to all of you who helped me, now i need the wheels, i know they are andrew racing by fujimi, but the base model was an Aoshima, does aoshima make these wheels? or if not, how hard is it to get fujimi wheeels to fit an aishima model? a bit of help or instructions for the conversion between the brands would be great.

Does your Aoshima RX7 require the male 'peg' type wheels? If so these are the pics taken from my S2000 thread showing how i convert the rims.

Question I have those...

Would you like to trade them for something? I bought them just because I have no plans for them so I could trade. PM me if interested.

i'd love to trade, i have all the ITR wheels, some off a Revell '89 mustang kit, ferrari testarossa, shelby series 1, and a silverado, all of em are revell, since i just got into ordering from other sources, i know it's not much, but i would also buy em from you if i've got nothing you want (which is pretty likely). than ks FOTW, that conversion pic is great, what is that yellow piece?

i will have to look for it, it has been in the basement for awhile, so i'll have to dige for it, the rest are just wheels, the kits have been scrapped fro parts, they were put together when i was HORRIBLE at this, so they SUCK really bad, i'll see if i can find the kit, i also have the heels that came with the RX-7 since i won't need em if i can get these andrew racing ones, anyone else with these wheels who would trade or sell, please post, i'll look for that silverado.

Its just a peg-type-thing from the spares box. The base was alot bigger, it went in the dremel and spun against a file to get the right diameter. Finding a 'peg' in the first place is a real bitch, so if you don't have anything like it what you could do is make your own. First, pick out a piece of sprue, plastic rod or any scrap piece of tubular plastic the correct diameter for the polycap/hub. You can then make the base of the peg by heating up one end of the rod in a flame, when its very soft press if against something hard. It will take a few trys to get right.
