Awesome work, it's so clean. I love the cf on the interior and the subtle weathering on the engine.

Magnificent!!! Alex, how are you doing the faded black arms, etc? Some sort of powdery paint being rubbed back? Dry brushing?

Thanks!
mrawl - yes, weathering on the engine is done mostly by drybrushing MM metalizers of various shades. |

I think you may have slipped one of your reference material shots into your WIP. Don't you want to show pictures of the model? Wait... ...that is the model...nevermind. Absolutely fantastic! So realistic! Great work!!! opcorn: |

Alex, the result is superb: I love the "well used" appeal, great weathering touchs, also this Hiro warm-shields are awesome (or maybe you applied well LOL) , maybe oil line fittings are a bit bigger than needed, but, dammn, you're faaaaaaasssst, I leave just for a week.... great job buddy.

Re: Supercar of the 90's - Making of Ferrari F50
Alex I have this kit as well and you have done a wonderful job! Do you plan on doing another F40 too?
Also I would like to mention this to you because with the amount of effort and detail you've put into this kit I would hate for you to miss this error. Ok if you have not noticed, the side scoops( b6 and b7) are not attached to the body. On the real car they are in place with the body uniformally. I just noticed this myself and will have to re prime again because of this. I imagine you could glue and putty this to make it appear the same with the body, however it will be hard to cover the scoops fully when painting, unless you have and airbrush. If you already spotted this then great, but if you didnt then i hope i caught you at a good time. |
