Are the emblems and the chrome trim painted or BMF?

Love the color and the shine. Baby wipes are genious!!!

The emblems are made with BMF prior to painting and then they are carefully scraped and/or polished free again.
I should have trimmed the Impala and SS emblem a bit tighter but it turned out pretty good after all.



The method can yeild some pretty small emblems, like these on a '67 Coronet. The steel ruler is held against the bodywork for mearsures.

Thanks for the how to. I was just checking out your Nomad WIP. Really like the green. I just picked up the AMT Boyd Coddington '55 Nomad and will try this BMF technique out.
