240Z engine swap
im working on a 71 240Z, the L24 is gone (he left it sitting like 8 years with fluid in it ) but that gives me an excuse to swap, ive seen V8 conversions but i want to keep front end weight down and have more revability. ive looked at SR20DETs but i would like more displacement, the VG30DET looks interesting i would like to stay true to nissan. what do you guys think?

while the 454 is tempting id like to keep the weight ratio, the RB is a beast how much would one with a tranny cost?

With tranny..."?"...your probaly looking at 6-7 grand! A lot, I know, but worth it!

wow, thats alot but i guess you get what you pay for. ive seen a 4x4 240z so i take that as i sign that i might be able to use the awd instead of converting it to rwd.

an awd conversion along with a rb26dett swap would prove for a very, ahem, VERY costly project but would be wicked and totally worth it in the end, image what that could do with a huge front mount ic hks gt2535 turbos breathing in and some other odds and ends, being light as a feather, and all the traction in the world.......drool:sun:
