Dies while driving
I have a 1993 LT1, 350 with automatic transmission, the problem I'm having is that the car will be running fine and then just die....I could be going 50 MPH down a small town road or 80 on the hi-way and the car just dies, engine stops, nothing. This usually happen after going about 10 miles. After the car sits for about 20 to 30 minutes it start up again and will drive a mile or so then die again. A friend said this could be caused by a bad ignition coil, but I would like some additional advise. Any advise or suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Dies while driving
I would agree with your friend in this case. Weak or damaged coils sometimes stop functioning when they heat up. When they are cool, its fine. As they heat up, from engine heat, their spark gets progressively weaker until they die.

Thanks Magic, I'll start there (one of the less costly ways to go)

Re: Dies while driving
Have you tried to retreive any trouble codes?

Re: Dies while driving
@Rimmer, Yes I have, I got a code 64 that indicates it needs a new O2 sensor and I also got a coolant level code, I have yet to replace the sensor but I don't think that would cause he car to die.
