Crankshaft sensor replaced
Replaced the crankshaft sensor on my 2000 Olds Intrigue. After researching this forum for what my problem could be, I replaced the crankshaft sensor. It fixed my problems. Lots of good info on this forum.
Need to replace front struts also, rides rough and front plastic drags on any little bump. Any suggestions as to what would be quality parts? |

Re: Crankshaft sensor replaced
Struts will not raise the ride height, I like KYB myself.

Re: Crankshaft sensor replaced
Yes you will need to replace the springs also to raise the height.
I believe a couple places sell springs and struts already assembled and ready to go. If not, you will need a spring compressor, not a terribly difficult thing to do, but can be dangerous if you dont do it right. They are usually available to rent at most auto parts stores. Ive never replaced these on my car, so I cant recommend anything, mine probably need replaced, but thats 3-400 dollars I dont have.

Re: Crankshaft sensor replaced
Quick Struts are the way to go. I think Monroe makes some. They are preassembled Struts and springs for about the same price or less than separate pieces. (If you get new bearings)
They are hard to find in stock, but can be ordered. |
