'95 Cirrus gas filling problems

Ok, everytime I go and put gas in my car, the nozzle just stops. Like the tank is full, even when I know it's empty. And I can only put gas in it in about 5 second intervals. It takes a good 5 minutes just to put $10 in the tank.

It's getting quite frustrating.

Anyone know what's up?

Re: '95 Cirrus gas filling problems

I can tell you the exact problem , it is the vent tube , the gas tank doesn't vent right . The problem is the vent tube is inside the filler tube what caused my problem was some one tried to still gas from my car and it kinked the vent tube causing the problem your having. Find one in a salvage yard or on ebay like me they cost over $200 at dealer Payed $25 for mine also the dodge stratus and plymouth breeze is the same , best of luck.
