clearcoat over vinyl decals???

I had just applied vinyl decals on my truck and was wondering if anybody knows if a clearcoat would ruin the decals. Any help would be appriciated.

Mmmm... Vinyl decals?? You mean like stickers?? If so, a printer of those things tell me that you'll havo no problem. But make a test before apply the clear coat. Try it with a part of the vinyl that you're going to trash...

Re: clearcoat over vinyl decals???

Just did it yesterday and did it on my cycle too. The stickers work fine as long as it is clean under the sticker and the sticker is WELL fastened to the paint. Just clear over it. It is cool if you do a coat, sand, do another coat, sand, and make sure it is heavy over the sticker. Then wet sand the clear over the sticker flat and there will be no rise in the sticker. I did it on my bike and it looks SWEET. Picture is on the website below under GSX-R.
