stock clutch not handling right
i have all of my mods listed below. i just got the clutch back in december and with the 1.8L the clutch was running perfectly. since i have put in the 2.0L it does not seem to been as gripping when going from a dead stop. when i go from a slight incline, i can actually hear it whine for a second. i know the clutch is still good b/c when i'm hammering it out of first into second i can nicely squeel the tires. it just feels like something is not right. is it possible that the clutch cannot handle the new hp? and it is adjusted right since it is a non hydraulic clutch. any opinions would help, thnx

Re: stock clutch not handling right
well, if you can squeal the tires into 2nd then sounds like the problem is not grip, maybe because the cars already moving though so it isnt trying to grab it from a dead stop.
you said its adjusted right? how much top pedal play do you have? and wghere does the clutch start to engage? how far off the floor is it fully engaged? I got a civic with hydraulic clutch, but just put a B20B with high cr pistons in it and man, dont you love the B20's torque. that might be one problem, the clutch might not be ablde to handle the torque if it is a real cheap one? does it do it even when taking off normally or only when trying to drop it quick at 3k+

it does it the most when i normally come from a dead stop on a slight incline. it is a new stock clutch. it just does not feel like it did when i had the 1.8L. and to answer your question about the torque, yea i love it. hella lot better torque. everything was right when i did the swap. i just can't believe the pedal height would get so off.

it does engage alittle further off the floor than it is suppossed to. probably about 3 inches fully engaged. is that supposed to be right? it is hard for me to measure.
