Porsche GT3R
I'm calling it done, though I need to pull it apart and install the shifter that is still in my parts box
When I do I'll shoot a couple interior shots.Fujimi's Porsche 911 GT3R, the latest version of the kit w/o the crazy graphics. I used Studio27 GT3RS graphics, with the "S" removed. For some reason both S27 and Shunko both make the GT3RS decals the same size for the side and front fender, while the front fender graphic should be much smaller. Paint is Tamiya TS4 German Gray, clearcoated w/Mr. Hobby solvent-based clear. Good points: relatively easy assembly, great appearance. Bad points: flat inner door panels, fit of side glass is very tight. Mistakes: I snapped the rear spoiler in half trying to remove some SMS carbon decals that looked horrible. I came up w/a parts box replacement that is much shorter, it looks good, but I might lower it a bit. I tried silver trim inside headlight lenses, didn't look right, had to cover w/Sharpie. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Porsche GT3R
Wooooow look at those fat rear tyres! Like some smokes' gonna come out from the back of it! Couldn't have imagined that german gray would turn out so nice! Again, beautiful work Bob! And I love your good-bad-mistake thing, might copy that next time~

Re: Porsche GT3R
Absolutely awesome. Love the combo color. Have you considered scratch building a full-sized spoiler?

Re: Porsche GT3R
Looks cool except of the rear wing, this should be larger IMO

Re: Porsche GT3R
Hello Bob,
your building and painting skills are top notch, as always. The overall appearance of the vehicle is stunning - but that rear wing just looks horribly out of proportion, sorry. Greetz Sebastian |

Re: Porsche GT3R
Yes, top notch execution, as always.
Rear wing looks undersized, even because the kit wing supports are terribly thick... Robi |

Re: Porsche GT3R
Thanks for the replies; just before our show last weekend I lowered the rear spoiler and applied the tire markings. I'll get some revised photos up in the next day or so.
