Anyone know or want to guess which chassis number this blue car is?

Judging by the number plates it was registered in the UK between Aug 95 and July 96. That suggests either 036 Pale Blue Metallic or 046 Genesis Blue Metallic unless of course there's another one that's been resprayed. I'm guessing that genesis blue is brighter than the car in the pictures so I favor the pale blue 036 car.

I'm also curious as to what the shield symbol on the rear is. Anyone seen anything like it?

The shield looks like it has kiwi on it. Perhaps the owner is from New Zealand?

pics were taken in dijon if sc.net is right.... that, and the english plates probably give the link to the photo seen on bookatrack.com, as they have a track in dijon which can be booked... it also proves me wrong of saying it's on the nuerburgring...

That shield symbol is Bruce Mclaren's personal coat-of-arms.
That leaves 2 options, either the factory put it there or the owner put it there, either way, it is the Mclaren shield.

headlights

Anyone know more about those headlights? I have never seen those on an F1. Looks like an upgrade.

I think I've read somewhere, that one of the McLaren F1 has been offered to the Bruce McLaren family, maybe this one ? (I've also read that they have sold the car some times ago.)

Maarten, just because it has Bruce McLaren's shield on it does not mean that his family owns the car.

This car belongs to an Englishman who is not scared of holding back on the track. The car is kept in England and was in France on the day these photos were taken.

I believe the photos were taken by someone who owns a beautiful TVR Cerbera in Grigio Alloy, which is a light blue Ferrari colour. He just sent them to me and he was there and spoke to the owner. But I am not 100% sure if he took the pics.

mini magic - you don't have to apologize to me, I was just suggesting that for others you might want to find a better host. Have you checked out the new Automotive Forums Photo Gallery? You could host images in there to post here - probably just as easy as the Supercars.net thing.

= = = = =

Thanks for the info on the McLaren you two.
