Sure, some pricing is going to be insane:
GBP 2.118,- for a Gulf covered GTR book
http://www.amazon.co.uk/McLaren-Mich...ds=mclaren+gtr (http://www.amazon.co.uk/McLaren-Michael-Ekkehard-Zentgraf-Cotton/dp/3928540122/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1433278724&sr=1-2&keywords=mclaren+gtr)
Or € 475,- for a West covered GTR book
http://www.amazon.co.uk/McLaren-Mich...ds=mclaren+gtr (http://www.amazon.co.uk/McLaren-Michael-Ekkehard-Zentgraf-Cotton/dp/3928540122/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1433278724&sr=1-2&keywords=mclaren+gtr)
Luckily I have a few of these already
Someone want to change hands for Harrods covered?
still want that one:wink:
A standard Driving Ambition the same story, prices are exploding for no reason, a special edition is worth more, but fortunes are been asked for some little papers than a standard.

Ok, thank you Greg and Arjan.
Seems to be impossible to find it for that price though. I wouldn't mind to pay a bit more for it because I think it will be a great read, but the prices for the ones I can find are a bit too high. :frown:

Which photographers are responsible for the photography for the tour?
I think Martin Vincent was one, but I would like to know the other photographers responsible for some the the amazing pictures of the tour. I would like to see some of their portfolios.

Hi,
can you let me know how much you spend for the tuscany book and where you got it?Maybe you know about a seller in Europe to keep the shipping costs low.
If you compare the Tuscany book with the F1 20 Anniversary book which one do you like more. Which book has the nicer content and better pictures?
Thank you so much

I bought both the F1 20 and Tuscany Tour books direct from the organiser of the Tour, and paid list for both .There are / were a few copies for sale through Morry at Collectorstudio.com but I'm unsure if he has any left.
I prefer the Tuscany Tour book as the photos are better and the book itself is laid out very well, much better than the first.
Seeing as there may be none left, I may be willing to sell mine at a Premium, however I have had interest from people in the past and have spent time taking photos of books only to hear nothing after them receiving the pictures, so if you want it and are a serious buyer not just a photo collector let me know

Hi
that´s nice maybe you are also interested in a trade as i got a very nice brochure card about the 570S signed by Frank Stephenson so you might be able to sell it for the list price?
By the way just let me know how much the list price was please and what you might be asking for. You can send me a PM as i guess it´s best to do so. So are there any copies still availabel from the organizer?
Thanks

When I was at Silverstone classic a couple
of weeks ago, I saw the Gulf covered GTR book on Chaters stand. I asked how much & chap said £400!
Out of interest I looked on their website. Raven59,which I got for £190, a few weeks back on e-bay,was for sale at £550!!!!!
They had some of the summer tour books also. Prices are out of my reach, even though I am a massive fan of McLaren
Prices are going crazy!
Just been sorting through all my GTR & McLaren magazines, foreign& English,& think a lot off these articles featured are just as collectable & interesting

I have a set of scans but they are low resolution and don't include every single page. I forget where they came from but at one point they would have been most certainly shared on this forum or at least linked from here.
This offer from AutoCar is probably second only to having the actual book, which copies of appear often and reasonably priced on Ebay.

Thanks a lot. Would also be great to know what its worth today?

£425 plus delivery when new for the Limited Driving Ambition.
£30 for the standard over the counter, book sellers edition.
I,m sure the £575 that LM Mike paid for his, was the highest price McLaren had on their website.
Value now? depends on market forces, anything from what Greg has stated upwards.

I have had 5 of these big books - 2 Le Mans Editions and 3 Ltd Editions pass through my hands, either to fellow collectors or F1 owners. They are a great book, if a bit weighty and hard to store due to their size.
If I ever find another I'll pop it up here for offers :)

Please Arjan, tell me, when or where did Frank Biela drive an F1.
He is a very nice guy and certainly a very successful racer but, in my memory (I may be wrong) he is in no relationship with the F1 ?!?

@Sami
both are priceless ;)
I don't want to sell these, collecting the signatures is for fun only
@Roger
one race with #22R
I asked him also, before he signed, and he confirms ;)
which race, I've to search for (or will ask him next time)
Between, I made an Excel sheet with all drivers I could find, and add columns for the chassis numbers they raced, so I could ask them about the specific car ;)

Yes I know you don't sell these.
I wonder how much that is in EBAY?
Biella drove #22R? Must been 1998 or something...?
Interesting!

Sorry, but I miss your point / what you mean ;)
I don't sell it, so it isn't on Ebay, no pricing.
Honoustly, I was lucky to get my hands on 059. Thanks to our Japanese sales man who made the money transfer and shipping for me after I found it.
A little advice if you're after rare items, use Google translate and search on the website in the respective country. That's how I found 059 on Ebay.co.jp ;)

The only information i have found on Frank Biella driving 22R was in Prequalifying Le Mans 3/5/98 race number 41 with Thomas Bscher / Rinaldo Capello. In the race it was driven by Thomas Bscher / Rinaldo Capello / Emanuele Pirro. I hope this help
