Getting Nasty with the zc

well finally convinced my brother in law to have his shop sponsor the civic (they mainly deal with V8's) and he said ok..this is after he learned about how many mods are available for the zc and that im willing to get nasty with the motor and body......we are hopping for low 12s high 11s when im finished (with bottle and slicks) here are the mods we will be doing over a time frame of the next few months

JG Edelbrock intake manifold
JG bigbore Throttle body
custom made header
install my top fuel stage 3 cams (already have)
change from a 100 shot (dry) to Direct port
ram air intake instead of short ram (we are talking functional ram air)
5pt cage
new buckets with harnesses
propane injection flame thrower kit (i have a flame kit already just want to go wilde and do propane injection)
eagle rods
LS pistons
bore/hone
port and polish
he also told me he can get Ferra Valves pretty cheap for me
there is a bitmore we are going to do..........but that will come when the majority of the stuff goes on......imma have to buy stock in goodyear cuz my tires will not hook up.....:eek: :D also got a place in town that does custom cranks :)hehehehe so no more crank probs......

its a shame i blew the turbo motor.......but ehh no biggy im selling the turbo kit for 900 so if anyone is interested hit me up

melt, i dont even remember all the crap that went on with the carb thing but why would a shop want to dump all this money into a 91 dx?? he is talking like 10 grand worth of work just about. and its a shop that is for v-8's. it just dont add up. i mean i know alot of places around where i live and to get sponsored you have to have something nice. not a 91 dx cause if that was true there would be all kinds of people getting sponsored. i dont know it really dont matter. if its true that cool but i would want to some detailed pics for some proof. but i still think its bull.

4th gen is the lightest of the civics ... maybe the shop wanted an old school project car, everyone does up 5th and 6th gens

ohh u want motor pix..of my turbo that i just had...or during the build up...as for the shop...its family oriented (my brother in laws shop)...as for price...10 grand to the public MAYBE actually hell no....maybe 5grand......for me around 3000 (think about it im getting the parts at shop cost)....but ill let you sit and ponder this

the car should be done in august....for nopi im hopping to have one of the faster 1.6 all motors at nopi...which im pretty sure i will be... :flipa: :finger:

and the rods are Eagle rods BTW..sorry i didnt get back to you about that....and it wasnt the rods that came from the teg..it was the crank.....and thats from a 1.8...you do a lil fabrications and you got a eagle crank....good up to 400hp :eek: but hey what the hell do i know..ya kno..guess ill be stopping posting on here...not worth my time to listen to haters that think their shit dont stink.....

first thing, you wont have one of the fastest 1.6's. not if you running a zc. even at shop cost it will more than 3 grand. and when did i or anyone else on here say that there shit dont stink. as for the hater comment, i am a hater. i hate bullshiters. and why dont you start a poll and see if anyone cares if you post here anymore. :flipa:

3rd Gen AT's are lighter which is why one of the guys in Australia is running one with a stock B16A in it and pulling 13s. They also have torsion suspension instead of double wishbones which makes them nicer to set up. 2nd gen Civics can have a ZC shoehorned in and are lighter still than the 3rd Gen AT (but lack wheelbase to make for stability on the 1/4) and of course the 1st gens are the lightest of the lot at 600kilos for the SBC/EB1 in '73/'74. I've seen full house bored/stroked mugen engines in these suckers pulling 150bhp, not to mention City Turbo Fi engines with the boost wound up and EN1 12 valves and D15Bs bolted in and worked for the track.

Anyway, just thought I'd be pedantic ;)
