well, mine idles as the same amount when it first starts up, after awhile it will go down to about 1k, sometimes lower.

hey man, changing your odometer is real easy to do. You can either change out the whole odometer, or I think use MyFirst4G's way, which i forgot completely.

yea I think it was because it was really cold this morning tho and it hasnt been started for a day or 2. when i try it tonight i might see if it goes down first, if not i'll try to do my timing and get it down. and who said i dont have any heavy mods? lol i think its the blue valvecover thats makin it idle so high lmao! as for the odometer... i'm gonna use the drill method beacause its like 30,000 away from what i should have on it

edit: forgot to add, i think my speedo will work now too, gotta wait till tonight to see if it'll work or not lol
oh yea, and where is the idle adjustment screw??

A high idle like that usually means you have a vacumm leak.

The new guages are looking alot better than the old ones!
btw-rolling back the spedo is really hard. You have to completly take it apart, pop out the numbers, and put them back in. gotta be carfull tho, or else the numbers wont line up, and thats a big givaway.

well i'll start looking for the vaccum leak tommorow if its nice out, no huge rush. as for the speedo, someone was talkin about using a drill on the other end of the speedo cable and doing it like that to roll it back, they said it takes awhile to do but oh well, dont think it should take THAT long lol, and besides... this cluster looks awesome and dont wanna take it apart lol

can you take the white face off your old cluster? If so you can swap out the whole speedo thing, thats how i got my miles right. Theres 4 screws on teh back behind it, unscrew them and your can tkae out the whole speedo and put in the new one.

yea i took my old cluster apart lastnight just cuz i was bored and put it back together lol, but my old cluster is fucked cuz of the fact i used paint thinner on it by accident, i dripped some, tried 2 wipe off and numbers kinda... vanished lol, and theres a hole in it so u can see thru it lol kinda cool but ah well, thats the whole reason for the white face gauges, (the thing is still one piece, its not a hole, just the black backing wiped off)

yea to change the odometer, just go to my homepage i got a how-to on exactly how to do it. it takes a whole 5 minutes at the most, because you don't have to switch the trip meter like i did.

Ummmmmm... If you look at his temp guage you'll notice that his car isn't warm at all.. He probably just turned it on. Also, look at his location and realize that it was about -3 degrees celcius there.

Your idle is fine.
