whats faster RSXtypeS or GTI 1.8T

Guys what car do you think is faster not by what the hrps saids but what youve seen or heard from personal experience???

Im sure it would be close. The 1.8T has an edge with the torque, but the 20 extra HP for the RSX may help.

As far as top speed it would be the RSX but if it was a race the 1.8T would win because its got turbo and like G60 Kid said its got more torque. So the race would be over before the RSX could pass the GTI because their top speeds are so close, what ever the RSXs top speed is its not much more than the GTIs.

You should be compairing the RSX Type-S with the GTi VR6.

And Volkswagen biased as I am, let's look at "teh numbers":

I saw in a dyno sheet that the RSX-S only does actually a 173 HP. So i think its obvious that the GTi 1.8T and the type-S should be compared !!!
AND not the GTi VR6 and the RSX Type S !!!

So i'm guessin that the 1.8T would beat the Type S...

Well, of course, both the Type S and the VR6 has 200 hp, but not all of it finds it way to the ground. If 173 honda ponies makes it to the ground, they have a 13.5% powerloss in the drivetrain, and thets not bad. The AWD GTi probably has a highet loss than that.

15.1 to 15.9 the RSX is faster in the 1/4 mile. They are right compare the 15.1 to 15.1 of the rsx vs vr6 in the 1/4 mile. Add a chip and a downpipe to the 1.8t and you will clean up on the streets just with that.

according to my friend he lost to a new 1.8t in his firends supra... then again they were running a little higher boost than normal but it was the stock charger. no more info than that though. and i know a rsx can not beat a supra.
