Evo5 progress pics

Hi folks,

Thought I would show you my Evo5 in primer, nearly ready for painting.

Uses Disks from Toms EXIV
Wheels from DTM Calibra
And spoiler from the car next to it (after a bit of narrowing and stuff)
Exhaust re-routed to side and original 'hole' filled.
Aircraft style filler with old one covered.
Gonna paint either black or bright red, not sure yet.

Hope you like it.

Looking good - I love the oversized discs, and the wheels really suit the car.

I'd say go with black to make it look even more

Thanks for the comments.

Fitting the wheels was a real pain in the butt!!! Too big, too wide, also uses shocks etc from the calibra.

The kit's the Hasegawa (spl??) road car from around 4 years ago.

damn, that spoiler is huge, but I guess you don't have any problems with blocked vision while looking out the back.

Hasegawa......hmmm......looks as cool as the Tamiya Evo 5. Does the kit come with any photoeched parts? My Hasegawa Corolla WRC contains some Photeched parts which I did not aware when I bought it. And the price for the kit is cheaper than the Tamiya Corolla WRC. :finger:

Thamks for the comments guys.

Bimmerkid :- What kit was that Supra?
The Supra's tamiya Sard race car with Clarion Skyline wing (think there's a pattern emerging here!!)

No photo etched unfortunately.
It is a pretty good kit, if a little simple, but there were a few problems with warping including the chassis and the rear spoiler (too bad to even stick to another car!!!), although these may have been caused since I bought it (I have emigrated 3 times in 4 years)

Will post more pics when the paint is done.

Thanks again for your kind comments.
