I've started on my next project while I finish up the S2000. Here's a sneak peek. After a fresh coat of Grabber Blue.

Very nice! Does it have a matt black bonnet or any other period trim?

I have a soft spot for these '70s muscle cars, but because they don't fit in with anything in my collection, I shall leave them all to you guys!

It's got a flat black hood scoop. It's actually from the 1970 Mustang 2-in-1 but the 'Street' version is a little to domestic ricy for me so I'm building it stock.

You know you have to start somewhere. What's wrong with having a little Muscle Car section in your cabinet? We won't laugh at you, promise.

I have to have some sort of control! Otherwise the cabinet looks too disjointed!
I am in half a mind to get rid of my VW Samba! It looks so out of place!

You should see how smart Steve's cabinet looks, all cars following a theme! Though he has never built a road car!

As the Mustang, stock is the way to go with them! All period wings, scoops and stripes! Fun!

I will be following this thread with much interest. It looks to be the same mold as the one i done but now selling it as a 2n1 kit

I think it's good to have a different range of cars to show your skills off.
I keep them together on there own shelfs in my wall unit.

Muscle cars
Dragsters/funny cars
DTM's
Touring cars
GT's etc

Hey garage guys! Enough of the thread scam!

Anyway I've been working on the Mustang. Every time I went into the hobby shop for paint those Model Master Metalizers always caught my eye. So I decided to give them a shot on the Mustang. This and BMF are the new things I'm trying this time around. I sprayed the exhaust pipes with the Exhaust Metalizer and the intake manifold, valve covers and tranny using the aluminum metalizer. The ressults look excellent, better than it looks in the pics. I'd recommend these to everyone for a realistic looking metal effect. Warning, you need to spray these through an airbrush. They are very thin and already formulated for an airbrush.

That Metalizer is great stuff,I've always used the rattle cans for applying it .
There is a sealer to apply over the metalizer but I've never used it and seen no problems unless it was handled too much !
A Q-tip is good to buff those hard to reach places

Great looking work so far!!
With the metallizer, leave it without the sealer! The sealer tends to dilute the metallic effect and will make it look like silver paint. The natural effect looks awesome on your engine!!
