Block Swapability and Swap ???

probably a dumb question, but are there any blocks that are swappable with a d16a6? mine is hydrolocked still, and i was wondering if any other blocks will bolt up to the mounts, tranny, and head?

Also, what would you say is the easiest of all the swaps? B/c if i have to buy a new engine for some reaosn, i may just swap

yes thats a sohc zc I have the same motor in my car ... if you wanna know what the increase in power will be like talk to 91ef3zc ... he swapped his ... I bought my car with the zc in it ... plus im on dual point fuel injection ... you will definitley have an advantage in your EX ... I really think its worthwhile and you should go for it.

all d series blocks are compatible, provided they are SOHC.

any SOHC d series ENGINE will botl up to any EF civic. I dont belive you can use the 92 + tranny, because if you think about it, we need mounts for b series, bt 92+ doesnt, and since the engine mount works, the tranny must have different mounts. but yes, it doesnt matter if you drive a 88 1.5 CRX, a 91 1.6 civic, or whatever, any d series block will bolt right up to your tranny and mounts.
