Not a whole lot. The factory ic is shyt and restrictive. The turbo is weak as the exhaust wheel is ceramic and bonded to the shaft. The injectors are small 256cc. The standard fuel delivery system is also weak.

You might be able to squeeze 260hp max out of one before something goes bang in a major way.

If you are going to start dumping money into your GTS, sell it and get a GTR. Its a much better all around plateform.

Don't get me wrong, I love my GTSt, but it not my GTR

well I didn't buy the car yet, since I been doing more research on the one I was going to get I change my mind. I was going to get an 89 R32 GSTs Type M i think it is, with the RB20DET. I talk to the guy at the dealer and his going to look for a GTR from the auctions he goes to and for now probably put me on a loaner car. Although is going to be more expensive. I also got in contact with the guys from J-garage website, they had 2 GTR but kinda over my budget. thanks for the replies guys.

edit: now one more question how much can I get out of the RB26DETT without going into the block?

Reliably @ 475hp before I would highly reccomend changing the rod bolts as they are shyt.

Of course turbos, intercooler, ecu, exhaust, pods, fuel pressure regulator, and head gasket will need to be done.
