i hunted for an answer for a while and came up with a lot of almost answers. please bear with me, i am not familiar with the prelude and the minor differences between the si and the si vtec cars.
i have a 92 prelude si, 5 spd, w/h23. motor is shot! gonna sell the car but the buyer wants a h22 put in instead (for more money of course). now the h23 car obviously is not vtec, so if i buy a complete h22 longblock, are the only wiring differences the 2 wires connecting the vtec? if not can someone point me in the right direction. question in a nutshell is: if i put the h22 in the car, hook up to the factory harness, swap over all the accessories, plug a vtec ecu in, and add the vtec wires is that all i need? assuming of course the engine is good. of course i will have the service manuals handy while doing this. if anyone has any input feel free to email or post sorry if this is the umpteen millionth time this has been asked, but i couldn't find an exact answer. thank you ben
