For some reason on knowing to me my car seems to be idling by it self. I have a vac gauge an it read 20 to 17 up and down. Its happen to me 3 time in four months. Also my car got over200,ooo miles on it. Is this really serious?

what exactly do you mean. cars are supposed to idle on their own, that's how they stay on. if your car just idles when no one is in it or driving it, you need a priest not AF.

explain. are you having a higher idle when your at a stop than you should? at start up? after running for a while? while your cruising in 5th or CC on the freeway?

Im not sure I understand your question...do you mean vafc, is your v-tec engaging too early or too late?

do you mean the idle jumps. like it goes from 1k then 1.5-2k then goes back down. if so it might be a lot of stuff. i could be a vaccum line thats not plugged in,tps, map sensor,etc...

idling problems {explain}

OK let me see..When I am at a stop light the car well usaully be on 1,000 rpm right?(and not moving normal.yes) It should only move if a start to rev it. Now just the other day again i was at a stop light and for some reason the rpm meter was going to 1,000 to 2,500 and make a humming noise like it was rev by itself. And yes my foot ws off the gas.

its what i thought it was, first check your coolant level, then if thats good look around in the engine bay and see if ou can find any hoses or tubes that are not connected, and if there isn't any loose or not connected it may be one of you sensors like the MAP, or TPS sensor. for the sensors you can check them yourself. i think they are supposed to have like 5volts or something(not too sure) or you can take it to the dealer(which will rip you a new a**hole) or you can take it to a reputable local shop and see if they can fix it.
