This sucks - Look out for this!!!...
This was just posted on the Yahoo Modelcarbuilder group;
This just in please keep a look out and let me know if you see it! Mj <Pics included> Last seen in San Deigo Cali Thanks for doing this, Styro, and thanks to Dave Lindsay for posting a few pictures, too. Aside from the obvious shame of stealing this terrific piece in the first place, this model was being cleaned up and preppeed to be transported to Japan by Pete next month for the Shazouka Hobby show and then permanently installed at the Tamiya Museum in Japan. This model is a VERY important piece of modelling history. I hope it can be recovered. I just got an email from Pete Johnson letting me know that someone broke into his garage on Saturday night and stole an number of items, including his Ramarossa model that he built for TamiyaCon. Pete lives in the North County area of San Diego and that's where the theft took place. It's possible that this might show up on ebay or be offered for sale in some other way, or that it might end up a show someplace. If you happen to see it anyplace, please contact Pete Johnson at [email protected] or me at [email protected]. I know this is a long shot, but you never know and it's worth keeping an eye out for this model. If anyone out there can tell me how to post a picture of the model, I'll be happy to provide it. Thanks for your help. Skip Skip - Would you do me a favor and forward this letter to all club members. I had a thief brake into my garage last night, and in addition to $2,000 worth or R/C equipment they got the Ramarossa. I know it is a slim chance that it will ever be seen again, but I would like members to keep an eye out for it just in case someone try's to pedal it, or show it at a show. Thanks Pete    You should recognise this from the Tamiya con pictures that were posted on this forum. This sucks big time doesn't it!?

That's terrible. I remember seeing your car in the '99 issue of Car Modeler, I think. I hope you find who took it, and beat the sh*t out of their arse.
