Re: Gtp swap

Welcome to AF!!

This question keeps recurring on the forum. Putting a supercharged engine in the GT can be done if you have plenty of money and time and patience. Replacing 3800 NA with the Supercharged engine requires an engine, transmission, axle shafts, PCM, wiring harness, fuel pump and a host of other parts. It would be much easier and cheaper to find a used GTP and purchase it rather than try the swap. If you decide to do this the 97 was a unique year as it was a transition year between models and you should stick with a 97 PCM. The engine year shouldn't matter but you may need to change some sensors.
