Did you pull your fuse box open and see if any are blown? I just changed a fuse for my cigarette lighter (I don't smoke) but I use the plug for my cellphone charger and I kept changing the fuses in my cell phone cord but the thing still wasn't working, so finally I tried the fuses and viola guess what, yeah you guessed it, damn fuse was blown out.

Thank God that they are pretty cheap and you get more than one in a pack when you buy them from Autozone.
Try pulling your fuses and taking a look, if they look blown, bam easy fix and you back on the pedal.

ha ha

yea, i know exactly what you mean. The same thing happened to me too. I thought the TV in my car was screwing up...then the power steering went...then BLAH. The worst thing is if you have a viper alarm system...where it goes haywire...locks on and off on and off....

i've read somewhere that the alternator on maximas suck.

Which fuse is for the cigarette lighter? There is no marking on it.
