Ok guys, I am a bit new to upgrading my Integra. It's a '99 LS and I have tried to keep her driving smoothly. However, I feel it's about time to give her a bit more sound and power. I am afraid of adding an intake because it will supposedly void my car's warranty, but I see no reason why an exhaust kit would. I have had my eyes on the Mugen Style exhaust. Someone has one for sale on eBay and I was wondering if I should try to pick it up. I keep seeing on websites something about the Mugen Style Exhaust kits fitting EL 1.6 - and I don't know what it means. If someone has any suggestions as to what to upgrade on my car or what type of exhaust to get, I would really appreciate it. I don't want anything overly loud either, as I drive the interstate (@ 90 MPH) constantly. Thanks.

it will NOT void the cars warranty unless they can prove that it had soemthing to do with it. IE, if u put in a cai and water gets in ur engine, then u fuct. i have a 2000 under warranty and a cai. when it looks like rain, i jus tchange it to short ram instead. there is a law that forbids car manufactures from void the warranty b/c of aftermarket parts.

Are you serious? Dude! They were going to charge me $300 to put in a Comptech Short Ram Intake! They said if it allowed any particles into the engine and damaged the engine, that it would void the warranty. They were like "we can do anything for you and it won't void the warranty, but if you do it yourself, we can't guarantee anything." Do you know where I can read news about that law? And what would you guys suggest then...? I was thinking...
Comptech Short Ram Intake Mozart Mugen Style Exhaust Headers??? Or what else? I would appreciate any responses. |
