I just bought a 95 integra ls and i wanna run low thirteens with a turbo.
The current motor has 187,000 miles. My first question is: could my motor handle a turbo at its age or should i rebuild? Also if i were to rebuild, would i wanna build for lower compresion so i could run tons of boost??? |

yea it could take it... for a week or two
replace all the gaskets, get new rods, new low compression pistons and you should be ok for a turbo.. running low boost you wont need an intercooler but if i were you i'd get a blow off valve (sounds cool too!), intercooler, and low compression pistons and you should be able to run like 10 psi (correct me if im wrong, i dont know a whole lot about turbos) |

Do ya'll think i could run a mid 13 1/4 mile with a turbo and some rebuilt motor on a 95 integra ls?

Running mid 13's would not be a problem to do with a built motor and a turbo setup it just all depends on how much boost you run. And if you do wanna do a turbo setup I would definately spend the money on the rebuild before even thinking of buying a turbo application. A motor with that many miles will probably not last too long running boost into it.

So I'm gonna have to rebuild, if i want lots of horse power should I build for low compresion and lots of boost or just keep things the same and low boost??? Also, how much green will it cost me for the rebuild and turbo kit; parts/labor???

Crower rods - 700
JE L/C pistons - 400 gaskets - ?? crankshaft - 300 few hours of labor... |
