Question T-VIS pipe work.

Hey all,
For those who don't know, T-VIS stands for Toyota Variable Induction System. It is a mechanism that increases performance by regulating the air intake of your car by controlling air flow in the inlet manifold.
My problem is that I am rebuilding my engine and I don't know which way round two pipes go, 1 to the T-VIS and 1 to something else.
The enigine in questions is a 3S-GE but I believe most of the 3s and 4s had it fitted, don't know if any of the others did.
I am going to include a diagram at the end of this to try and help you understand what I am about to explain. There are 2 pipes coming from the Inlet manifold, they are right next to each other, coming from the front right of the phlenum chamber (the cylinder like bit of the manifold running along the top). One is about 4mm wide and the other is about 2mm wide. These both (along with a 3rd pipe from the side of the EGR regulator) pass under the manifold. One of the two (forget the 3rd pipe from the EGR) connects to the Vacuum tank of the T-VIS and one of them connects to something else that I don't know the name of (I know the thing, just not it's name). So which is it? And this is the cunning bit, the 2mm pipe has specail fittings at each end to allow it to fit onto receiver socks that are the same size as for the 4mm pipe, so I can't just see which fits which receiver. You may think "Does it really matter?", but I am thinking that Toyota wouldn't have gone to the trouble of making a special 2mm pipe if it didn't.

I am not expecting some technical boffin to know this off by heart, but if you could just pop your bonnet and have a look that would be great.
