My fresh clean engine bay.....

Finally the weather was nice enough to clean my engine bay (good ol simply green)

simple green is available at any auto store, but i prefer Castrol Super Clean to it.

There's a "detailing" section that tells how to use Simple Green to clean the engine bay. I've followed those instructions with great results. The first time you do it takes a long time, but every time after only takes a little while if you keep up on it.

The only think I did different was to use a wire brush to loosen up all the caked-on grit when I did it the first time.

dude you are like the only person ive seen have the intake piece that goes across the engine bay....i took mine out when i 1st got it i didnt see the point of it really

i still got that piece on my car, its supposed to bring air in from the front of the car i'm guessing

yea i know what it does but theres a rubber piece under the hood and it looks like it would block off alot of that air so i said what the hell and it gave it a deeper sound than before so i stuck with it

that intake piece is the factory cold air intake.

yea especially in 4th and it sounded like it had intake when i took it to get emissions the guy had a smile on his face i was like ahh your a dork, plus when i had some headwork done it made it sound diff especially in upper rpms it sounded like a beast! but it hasent ran in acouple months....waiting on a z6

for a ghetto short ram, just replace your factory filter with a K&N drop in replacemetn and cut the bottom of the airbox off so it gets loads of flow.
