Wife-subduing air raid siren confiscated

BERLIN (Reuters) - A 73-year-old man who used an air raid siren to stun his wife into submission has had it confiscated by German police.
"My wife never lets me get a word in edgeways," the man identified as Vladimir R. told Mannheim police. "So I crank up the siren and let it rip for a few minutes. It works every time. Afterwards, it's real quiet again."

A police spokesman said neighbours had complained at the noise from the 220-volt rooftop device, believed to be an old-fashioned air raid siren.

Rosina, Vladimir's wife of 32 years, said she sometimes had to yell to get his attention. "My husband is a stubborn mule so I have to get loud."

This guy is pretty smart.

lol reminds me of that old couple in "Hard Rain"

the wife kept nagging the old guy to hurry up and row their boat away from the bad guys, and she wouldn't shut up. So the old guy turns the boat around and she says "what are you doing get us out of here have you gone crazy blah blah blah"

so he says " im turning around, to see if they will shoot you, or shoot me, it doesn't really matter who they shoot first"

so she says "what are you talking about? blah blah blah"

so he says "look woman, do you want me to get us out of here? Then shut the fuck up!"

it was possibly the best part of the otherwise stupid movie

No, the best part of that movie was when Randy Quaid says "Screw the town." I couldn't stop laughing at that, it's still funny! It's worth it to endure through how boring and stupid that movie is just to hear that one line.
