99 Denali headlight assembly question

Ive had my Denali for 4 years now and i have never been able to change out my low beams. I understand that the headlight assembly has 2 pins to unscrew after taking out the turn signal lights....but only one pin comes out and the other one spins in place. Any suggestions?

The pins come out the top. You shouldn't have to remove the turn signals. Are you sure you aren't turning an adjuster screw?

Re: 99 Denali headlight assembly question

I originally thought I was turning a headlight adjuster or something but it says remove the 2 pins at the top. Last year when I took it to the dealership for a tune up I asked them to replace my bulbs and will pay the labor. And they told me that they couldnt do it........needless to say that was the last time I took any of my vehicles back there for service.

Re: 99 Denali headlight assembly question

i think u can get the bulb out w/out removing the head light. may have to remove the batt on that side to get to it. try a pair of needle nose pliers, lift up on pin while turning it. the adjusters are way down in a hole

Re: 99 Denali headlight assembly question

You can access the high beams but not the low beams. I also thought of taking the battery out but I'm hellbent on getting the whole assembly out. I'm wondering if I should buy more bulbs (cause the one's I have are 2 years old) or get a resonable priced HID kit. Any thoughts???
