Thumbs up 1959 Subaru

Here's some pictures of a 1959 Subaru 450 Maia. This is the 1005th Subaru ever produced! The 450 export models recieved modifications long before the 360 models did, and this particular car is a convertible (the only one in North America) There are only two inaccuracies in the restoration: the car is wearing 1968 Young 360 hubcaps, and the locking gas cap, otherwise this is exactly how Subaru used to build them in 1959. For avid modellers these pictures would be good reference if you want to kitbash a model of a 360 into a 450.

Thanks.

The chrome script on the back says "Subaru Maia"
One other thing - this is the only subaru I've ever seen with these kind of bumpers! (in real life and in pictures - I took these ones at the show) Most of the 450/Maia models had straight bumpers with over-riders (bumperettes) instead and would be much easier to model than these.
