well u need struts + springs to start.
a full set of struts can cost atleast $350
umm a set of springs is $200 up.

your going to need a camber correcting kit for the front wheels, around $100... (and just use washers to correct the rear camber)

coilovers are good cause u can set your car higher up in the winter.. but i heard that they can be bouncy when set high, thus making an unsafe driving experience in canadian winters. coilovers a probly expensive, but i dunno, never really looked into it.

anyways it all adds up, can be expensive..

I have to disagree with dirtyDX...

All I've got on mine is springs (Eibach Ground Control Pro Kit), and since it was a fairly moderate drop (1.5 in the front, 1.25" in the back), I didn't require a camber kit. So you don't necessarily need struts or a camber kit, but if you really wanna dump the ride, you will need a camber kit.

An easy way to drop it a bit, not alot.. just get some nice new low profile tires
Depending on how low pro they are, maybe bout 1 - 1.5 - 2 inches lower right there.

All four KYB GR2 shocks run $150 shipped (US). So thats like $30000 CND.

Coilovers suck. I hated them. I hated my skunk2's, and I hated the generic shit I tried.

My only words of wisdom. If you are not planning on racing (road race SCCA) don't buy Progress. Great for road courses because you can pull turns at awesome speed. Not so great on roads because the springs are truely stiff. Everyone else seems to have covered the other stuff.

i was just giving the entire job... you can use stock struts... but if you dropping it 2+", your going to need aftermarket struts(eventually). and if he wants to go with 2+", hes also going to need camber adjustment. but hey... just fuck it all, cut the springs cuz thats all you have to do if u want a drop.
