New project (pics inside)

Project Name: Dont got money or the sources to buy good kits so i buy cheap plastic diecast bikes and repint them

Objective: To take it all apart, paint it all, give it some nice detail and put it back together....

Hello, this is my first diecast project but is very easy, and after highjacking my brothers diecast display i find i dont even have to put any money into it

so far just taking everything apart, i started this thread because i want suggestions and i have a Q

I cannot get either of the wheel off because there is some weird skrew or sumthing, and i donot Know how to remove it.. i thought it was just a tap out screw but i was wrong

does anyone know how to get these out?

ok i got it all unesembled.... the tires where a pain in the ass but what i did is put a nail in the middle hole and hit it on the other side and popped out, front wasnt so easy because when i hit it, the steering turned and broke the fork... so now i have to repair that but i want to get started on painting.. any ideas?! and do i have to strip orig paint or just sand primer paint?

Metallic red with gold wheels. I would sand as much as you can then apply fresh primer.

Drill press and a carbide cutting bit.

Go slow, and apply steady pressure, and be sure to have a good grip on the bike fork and tire. you might have to make a jig out of wood for it, or cevise something to keep it from spinning on you if the bit bites into it too deep. Slow and steady, lest you snap the forks or bend them all to shit.

Hope that helps.

ps: get a job.

slacker. :flash:
