Question CRX rear window and console

Hey there, I just got a 91 CRX HF. It's the first CRX that I've ever sat in, so my first question stems from that fact. Do all rear windows in these cars distort the view? Cuz mine does, it makes everything all squished from top to bottom. So, i was wondering if that was normal, or if I need a new window.

My second question stems from the fact that I like the car a lot, but I want more than just a tiny armrest and open space between seats. I had a Laser previously, and I love the whole large console between the front seats, and I was thining of fabbing something like that for the CRX. I was just wondering if anybody has tried that or not, cuz obviously, the parking brake lever gets in the way and the shifter would have to be slightly lengthened...so I was wondering what you're thoughts on doing this might be, yay or nay...

Thanx for the help for a first time poster.

A 94-01 Integra console fits in 4th gens pretty well...if you find one in a junkyard or on e-bay, make sure it includes the whole assembly all the way up including the ashtray, and you also need the mounting brackets.

There is a rare CRX OEM Arm rest that you can find on sale occasionally on e-bay also.

Can't help you with the rear window tho.

DOHC ZC, I,H,E, urethane bushings and mount inserts, rock chipped hood, some rust, stock steelies, nice comfy Integra seats, and the A/C works! What else could you want from an 18 year old car with 241,000 miles? Working on getting the Si tranny in now

unfortunatly the teg console mod doesnt look good at all on a crx dash cause the center dash in a crx is anged toward the driver and the teg console is straight.

Thanx for the help, but still, the TEG console is still not what I meant. I want the whole thing to be about 4 inches taller, so that there is not gap between the seats. I'm thinking that I might be able to fabricate something up, dunno what to do with the ebrake, but I'm not all that conserned as I never use it. And then just slope it down a little at the shifter and see if I can get a short throw that's slightly longer or somehow make it longer, then the shifting should be about the same even though the shifter is taller...

And about the rear window...come on don't none of you own any REX's?

you gonna have to fab something, or maybe measure where its is and go to a junkyard and find something that size.

and no, i dont own a rex

hey man we have the same car. 91 HF. not bad... any pics?

you'll get used to rear window. i think because of the angle it seems funny at first. i thought the same thing when I bought mine... now I don't even notice...

do you have a manual? personally I can't stand anything in between the seats when I have to shift.

hope this helps!

I have a few pics, but it's no where near what I want it to be. I bought it for about 2 grand and am going to put about 4 times that into it. Thanx for the info. I thought it was normal, but I wanted to make sure. It's nothing that I can't get used to, but if it wasn't a normal thing, then I would have probably thought about getting a replacement window. And, I knwo what you mean about having stuff between the seats or anywhere near the shift knob for that matter when i'm driving, but that's not really what I mean. I want the whole thing to be higher. The shifter knob would be near the same level as the whole center console so that I can lean on the whole thing to shift...That's how Laser/Talon/Eclipses are, and that's the only way that I feel as if I'm in a sporty car...otherwise I'm like grannying around town. Anywho, thanx for the input.
