The Screamin Eagle

another thing in the queue. I just put a few minutes on this every day. The guy who owns this bus befriended me on a trip I was on recently and shuttled me everywhere, just to be cool. He had some family tragedy and then had his other bus stolen so when the chance came up to do another one of these big head things, well it had to be the screamin eagle...he's thrilled.

Re: The Screamin Eagle

Thanks for the close-up of the rim paths. Guessing that to place all those small vector shapes, you're using a very large background for this image?

Interesting design, looks like fun capturing the details.

Re: The Screamin Eagle

yeah...it's not everyone's idea of a cool bus but this one is very well known in the community.

The eagle detail will be fun.....or horrible...I don't know yet.

Re: The Screamin Eagle

Well done on the body, now waiting to see the eagle masthead on the nose.
Is the real one a flat 2D graphic, or a 3D sculpture-like object?

Love the detailing touch of having the front windshields propped open.

Re: The Screamin Eagle

I'm not sure what you mean, but just to be clear, I airbrushed the eagle...it's not a picture. The actual eagle is squashed much more so I didn't do a very good job, but I painted that thing. It was tough, but fun.

Didn't mean your artwork, but on the real, full sized van. Is the image a 2D graphic/painting or a 3D textured shape attached to the front end.

Finished artwork is fantastic.

(Been away for awhile working to clean up our old farm house, and barns, after renters moved out last month--will be back home next week so I can get to work on my doodling and return to a normal schedule.)
