Got ANOTHER B-body!! lol

I'm outa control lol! But this time its a 79 Pontiac Parisienne..it has "some" potential to be a "cool" car for someone my age but will take a lot more to get it that way than it would for a caprice. Especially since its a 4 door with those ugly wheel skirts. I'll have to decide what to do with it after further inspection when i get it later this week.

But on the other hand it doesn't have a whole lot going for it. Has the absolute garbage 301...with even LESS HP than my caprice? What were they thinking?? Plus this thing needs a new vinyl roof, tires, and paint. Also has leaks like my caprice except somehow the seats get wet so it must be bad lol.

Re: Got ANOTHER B-body!! lol

I used to have a car that I called "The Destroyer", it was a 1976 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale 4 door hardtop, which I had picked up from a co-worker for $190. This was in 1987 - the car was a beast. It was painted in this bronze color which would have looked great on the car were it not for body damage on the car (right fender and header panel toast due to an encounter with a U-Haul truck), and a missing back window (former owner's temper vs. his wife via tire iron). The car was basically a beater but it ran and for the time was the car I could drive (I also had a 1972 Impala then, but it was rode hard and put away wet by its former owner, the engine was toast). One day I painted it with two quarts of black Rustoleum and a paint brush. That car was the genesis of my current (and then) CB handle - 'Black Lightning'.

I'll never forget that car, or what happened to it (let's just say the former owner never gave me the title and so he got stuck with the abandoned car tow bill, and a shell of a car with nothing useful left).
