Question about the Wheel bearing RECALL
If the rear wheel bearings has been replaced due to a recall, will I have to keep replacing it or when they recall the car, they totally fixed the problem? thanks cuz i am planning to buy a 2001 zx3 with a wheel bearing recall so i am just wondering if i have to keep replacing the wheel bearings.

The recall is for the possibility of corrosion to the wheel bearings.
The dealer will replace with a revised bearing that has a protector shield to (hopefully) keep water from entering the bearing. Whether this will work or not, I don't have a clue...probably NOT!! But then again, the main vehicles that would be affected are the ones up north where the salt is used and corrosion is a big issue, but here in the south, I haven't seen a corrosive wheel bearing yet!! Hope this answers your question.

One the wheel bearing has been replaced, you should not need to think about it again for a very long time, but considering the lack of quality I have found the Focus to be subject to, I would imagine it may be a yearly maintainance thing......hey, fuel pumps are meant to be something you never think about right? I just replaced mine.....
