It looks like you are working on your vehicle indoors. Can you just use a chain hoist or a come-along (hand-powered winch, costs about $12 at Walmart) hanging from a roof beam?
The motors aren't that heavy, but you will need something so you can carefully lower it into place...wow. I just realized, (since I've never done it with a Honda) when you're swapping engines out of an American car, like my 1968 Oldsmobile, you winch the engine out, and then roll the car away...but you can't do that, since there are no wheels on the front! You took 'em off! Yup. You just might want a cherry-picker, so it'll be on wheels. The motors aren't that heavy, but weight isn't the problem; it's holding them in just the right place so you can get the bolts into the mounts. That part is kind of delicate. Flunky |

you could prolly do that with at least two other people. i had a friend and my dad help lift mine... it was kinda heavy, but then again i had it all assembled. just be carefull you dont drop it.

a friend of mines picked up a z6 that was on the ground and put it in the bed of a truck, by himself. big guy though, idk how big u are. i say right tools for the right job, cause what if u drop it, thats a pricy mistake. if u do fuck up, it would have been cheaper if u just bought the cherry picker
when i took out my motor, well i have a cherry picker so yeah, so it was easy for me |

i would say the block alone would weigh approx. 50lbs.
when i ripped the a6 out of the si i just unbolted it all and lifted it out, the whole engine is heavy, but not THAT bad

You can lift it out with a come along and then lift the front of the car with a floor jack and roll it back. This is how I did mine. Make sure you have someone to push the car and someone to hold the jack. I lifted the car by the front crossmember. The front end with no motor is light enough that you can lift it. So if you lift by the place right in the middle theres a place that will fit down in the jack almost perfect.
