well its MPFI i just converted it its a ZC the car ran great then yesterday it just died when it was idling i went to rev it and BLAM it just sputtered and died then after that u gotta spray starting fluid in it... here is the stuff i replaced soo far... new cap new rotor new plugs new wires new fuel filter new radiator hoses new hose's all over new radiator new water pump new timming belt.... so here is what i did i took off the fuel hose's to the fuel filter and and looked at the fuel coming out when i had someone turn the key but not much fuel came out then someone suggested it might be the main relay he said that he has fixed 4 honda's in the past year that came into his shop that were NO STARTS that he had to feed fuel so i'm checking on that but what else could it be i didnt think it could be a stuck injector or clogg'd one cuz they seem to work good is there a way to test them?? cuz that seems to be the only other thing that could be wrong besides the FPR...

Have you got a spare distributor to swap out? Mine acted up like that, and I had changed all the stuff you did, so was pretty mystified. I'm betting you have an ignitor or distributor problem.
Good luck.

PS-Hey! Before you muck around with possible fuel problems, make sure you have spark! Pull a plug wire off of the plug, stick a screwdriver in the plug wire so it contacts the little metal part that goes around the spark plug. Hold the screw driver so the metal part is just a hair away from the engine and not touching anything else, and have a buddy turn the key. Then you'll know if it's a spark problem or a fuel problem. You should see a nice, fat, blue spark.
PPS-Oh yeah-Make sure you don't have any gasoline anywhere when you check the spark!

It's possible to have a weak spark. Then it'll run, but it won't run well and it won't start up like a happy camper. That's why you look for a fat, blue spark.
It does sound like a fuel problem. Your fuel pump puts things under high pressure, so if you had leak, then you'd see fuel squirting out somewhere.
Beats me!

I know this is dumb, but....do you actually have gas in the tank? That would explain why it mysteriously quit, but then fired up again (fumes) and now you have no fuel at the filter...

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? You may need to change that.

Re: main relay??

Maybe vapor lock? Cracked fuel line? Check fuel pressure.

Re: main relay??

And yeah... Take a spark plug out and ground the threads on it to your valve cover acorn nut and have someone crank the motor over.. If it don't spark then you might want to add coil to that list too...

Ditto...that sounds VERY familiar...try the main relay...it controls a LOT of things...mine still worked when my car acted up...but when I switched it...it never acted up again.

Good luck...and let us know what it was when you solve the problem!
