Aaahhhhh...i Got Another Speeding Ticket...strike 2

Hey all. This sucks so much. I was "doing" 48 in a 25 zone and 5.0 pulled me over. I didnt have my scanner in and the one time, I just missed them. He gave me a ticket for doing over 20 and it costs $200. This is the 2nd ticket I got this year. I'm thinking of just quitting the racing theme and just go luxary with big rims, and a decent system. Do you think I should fight the ticket? I was speeding.

well...don't really fight it, but go to court. I know that here they will reduce your ticket just for showing up to court.

Fighting it would be a waste of your and the judicial system's time, as you WERE speeding, almost double the limit. I say take it like a man, learn your lesson, and save the reckless speed for the track.

BTW, even if your car LOOKS like a racer, the cops still won't pull you over if you AREN'T speeding. At 48 in a 25, they can and should pull you over no matter WHAT your car looks like, as that means it's a residential neighborhood and 48 is ridiculous.

heres the deal with going to court. about 75% of the time cops wont show for the court date, which if they dont they cant fight against you. At the worst, because your willing to actually show to court im sure they are willing to lower your fine. This is what ive heard mind you, but i would try it out ...

goto court and see if they will allow you to do the driving school classes. They will be boring as fuck but at least you wont have to pay all that $$$

THIS MAY BE A LONG SHOT SEEING THAT THIS IS UR SECOND TICKET THIS YEAR AND U WERE DOING ALMOST DOUBLE THE SPEED LIMIT....BUT ASK FOR A "PRAYER FOR JUDGEMENT"

Thanks for the comments guys. I cant afford to pay the ticket within the next 2 weeks (when its actually due), so I'm gonna set a court date and it'll be in like a month and a half to 2 months. Then I wont argue. I'll ask for the driving school to see if they do that over here. The fine isnt the big deal though. I just dont want the points.

I think that some people actually have to goto classes and listen to a guy talk about how to drive. Then they keep it off your record and dont make you pay the fine. Which I think that I would do that but seeing as the last one I got I payed $144 to keep it off my record and it worked.

it depends state to state.

you were speeding. you made the mistake. deal. it would be different if the cop claimed that you were speeding when you weren't or shit like that. keep the speeding for the track.

I go to court April 24th for going through a yellow light. So I am hoping that the officer doesnt show. And if he does then ill ask to get my fine lowerd and to go to traffic school to take off the points.
