Angry Oil leak after rebuilding tranny

Will this car ever stop????

Year,Make,Model: 2001 Pontiac G/P GTP
Trans: Auto
Mileage: 90114
Recent work: right front hub assembly, rebuilt tranny, new supercharger belt, power steering belt/pump, fuel injectors cleaned, fuel filter, oil changes regularly

I got my transmission completely rebuilt, picked her up about a week ago. Today my service engine light came on so I hooked it up to the computer and "Torque switch stuck on". I got a warranty so I'm taking her in on wednesday, but my car is also leaking some sort of fluid everywhere. I'm unsure of what it is because it's raining so it's hard to determine. I was wondering if these two issues are related, so when I take it back in they don't try to fuck me and tell me it's a different problem.

Did you have your valve cover gaskets replaced yet?

No, I haven't. I can't afford all of this work. I've only owned this car for a year and it's cost me a grand total of 12,000.00.

Re: Oil leak after rebuilding tranny

Yikes! Sounds like mine, only I have done a lot of the work myself to save money.

Are any of your friends (maybe a boyfriend) knowledgable about cars? I'm always fixing my g/f's car. She just buy's the parts and I do all the work. I am sure a cute girl like yourself wont have any issues finding a nice guy to fix your car!

If it were me, I would start by replacing the valve cover gaskets. The parts are just about 50.00 or so, and not difficult to install with regular tools. There is a recall out there on our motor for these gaskets, so you could bring it to the dealership and see if they will fix it for free. Problem is the recall only covers replacement of the front valve cover gasket. It does nothing with the rear.
